Hiring Simon as our listing agent was the best decision we’ve ever made in real estate! He stayed on top of things, guided us through the real estate forms and made helpful suggestions. We’ve owned and sold 6 homes previously and have always used listing agents that charge 3% commission. In every case, as soon as the house appeared on the MLS a buyer would contact their agent to see it and we would be under contract within days. The listing agent didn’t have to work at selling our home, but received a huge commission anyway. We decided to try something different this time, and it paid off! Going with Simon saved us $18K ! At Simon’s suggestion we offered buyer’s agents 2.5% commission. We paid Simon a flat fee of about $600 to put our home on the MLS ( and other popular online sites ), put a sign in the yard and a lockbox on the door. The first day on the MLS a buyer came to see the house and made us a full price offer that evening. Simon made several suggestions to improve the contract in our favor ( things we never would have thought of). Throughout the escrow process, Simon stayed on top of everything and kept us informed of the progress with almost daily calls and emails. We were not expecting so much attention since his commission is only .0034% . We can honestly say that we have never had an agent work so hard for us at any price! One final thought, we are so glad we did not opt to sell by owner. The (many!) real estate forms are so confusing, we would have been lost. What a relief that Simon was there to handle all of the paper work! We are telling all of our friends and family to use Simon Mills for all of their real estate needs.
